Best editor ever…
hat is the best editor you are using…
This is a very common question between web developers …
which one is the best?
Is it free or not?
Does it support PHP, ASP, CSS or any other language?
When I began coding, I didn’t care a lot about editors
Or troubled myself to find one, I simply used windows notepad .
but after a while when I began working in PHP codes or CSS I found out that I already wasted my time in debugging and most of the errors are syntax error. Like semi colon or a dot or anything like that.
And the solution to avoid all that mess is only using editors.
There are may types of editors now in the net, anyone can choose the best one that suitable to him.
From my experience, I prefer these three editors
- editplus editor you can download it from here
http://www.editplus.com/download.html
it supports Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7, It displays the source code colored (syntax highlight), but the problem it is not free , from this link you can download a trial version, it will last for a month or more.
- tswebeditor editor you can download it from here
http://tswebeditor.tigris.org/
it supports HTML, PHP, Perl, JavaScript, CSS and many other languages. It displays the source code colored (syntax highlight), code hint for functions, code completion (PHP, JavaScript, ASP, HTML), code browser, PHP debugger and syntax validation, help, CSS wizard, HTML tag editor, HTML syntax validation, and an easy to use SQL Designer.
It is free and you can download it from this website or any other one
And the last one and absolutely the best is adobe dreamweaver
I can debug , track errors, highlight codes , maintain and I can control the whole layout and code by switching between the code area and the layout area in the same window, you can download adobe dreamweaver from here
http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/
even it is a trial version too but at least it continue for a couple of months.

have a look at context editor
hi, J1 haslip. i check that editor and it is really another great one. thank you for sharing.
I use Crimson Editor for pretty much everything. It supports all major syntaxes and it comes with a few things that make coding easier for me. For example, when I’m coding CSS, when I close the bracelets with “}” and enter a line break, it automatically decreases the padding for that line making it easier and more organized.
I like these the best:
Windows: Notepad++
Mac: Smultron
Linux: Notepad++
Of course, nothing beats:
Dreamweaver for web design
Visual Studio for VB, VC++, C#, etc.
Eclipse for Java
I am typically to running a blog and i really respect your content. The article has really peaks my interest. I’m going to bookmark your web site and preserve checking for new information.
